These events are designed to bring the community together, celebrating literature and fostering connections among book enthusiasts.

Exciting Times Ahead in St. Petersburg!

St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District is gearing up for some bookish fun this March with not one, but two thrilling book fairs! So grab your favorite reading chair and get ready to soak up the local literary scene.

Jazz Up Your March with the Jazzy Book Fair

The first event to look forward to is the Jazzy Book Fair, taking place on March 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at a vibrant collaboration between Book + Bottle and Pistil House! Imagine lounging with a good book while the smooth sounds of live jazz music from The House Cat Music fill the air. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?

At Pistil House, located at 2533 1st Ave S, attendees can browse a delightful selection of books that are curated in an interesting way: they are paired with fresh flowers! Who knew that flowers could enhance your reading experience? The book and flower pairings are thoughtfully designed by the book buyer at Book + Bottle, showcasing the unique symbolism of different flowers. It’s all about finding the right vibe for your next page-turner!

The Jazzy Book Fair isn’t just a one-off event, though. It also serves as a precursor to Book + Bottle’s fifth-anniversary celebrations. Mark your calendars for March 16 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. because there will be a fantastic DJ and bubbles event, promising lots of bubbly fun! And if that’s not enough, stick around for an exclusive after-hours anniversary party on March 17 featuring the celebrated author Kristen Arnett.

A Nostalgic Twist at the Boozy Book Fair

1900 1st Ave S, hosted by Tombolo Books and Good Intentions. The concept is reminiscent of the Scholastic Book Fairs many of us grew up with, but with a grown-up twist. It’s all about reliving those nostalgic moments while connecting with the community through literature.

This fair will feature a diverse range of books spanning multiple genres, but with a special emphasis on celebrating women’s voices in honor of Women’s History Month. In addition to great reads, attendees can find book-themed merchandise that takes us back to our childhood book fair days. How fun is that?

Kelsey Jagneaux, the Events Coordinator at Tombolo Books, emphasizes the importance of creating spaces where community can come together over a shared love of books. It’s a special project designed to foster connections, making literature more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Excitingly, there are plans to make the Boozy Book Fair a recurring tradition. Future editions might even include family-friendly events, bringing the whole community together in celebration of reading and creativity.

Join the Fun!

Don’t miss out on these incredible events! Mark your calendars, round up your friends, and get ready for a marvelous book-filled month in St. Petersburg!
