Embracing Diversity and Togetherness
Organized by the energetic Aron Bryce, who leads the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA), the festival aims to celebrate the vibrant tapestry of cultures that make up the St. Pete community. Originally scheduled for the fall of 2024, the event was postponed due to hurricanes, providing a unique opportunity to enhance its offerings and truly reflect the spirit of resilience and strength in the area.
Unforgettable Entertainment Lineup
Festival-goers are in for a treat with an exciting schedule of live music performances! Kicking things off will be a Bob Marley tribute by Greg Roy & the Pressure Band from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Following that, Dead Set Florida will take the stage for a Grateful Dead tribute from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.. Kid-Friendly Fun and Local Flavor
No festival would be complete without a dedicated area for the little ones, and the Kid’s Corner will not disappoint! Families can expect a variety of free activities, including balloon art, face painting, a fun photo booth, and even a Sensory Kids Zone, making it the perfect spot for the kiddos to unleash their creativity.
Foodies will rejoice as local favorites such as Shiso Crispy, Duke of Ribs, and Pipo’s Original Cuban Cafe offer delicious bites throughout the event. Meanwhile, local artisans will showcase their goods, providing a platform for small businesses and nonprofits to connect with the community.
Art and Education Unite
Cultural enthusiasts can explore live painting and art sales, demonstrating the crucial role of the arts in St. Pete’s identity. Educational organizations like the St. Pete Marine Exploration Center and Birds of Prey will also be on hand to provide engaging experiences that spark curiosity and wonder.
A Community Effort
As part of this community-centered festival, attendees will have the chance to make a difference by donating to the Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry and Hank’s Bark Box, among other local causes. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back while enjoying the festivities!
Parking and Logistics
To ensure that everyone has a great time, event organizers encourage guests to bring chairs or blankets for comfort, apply sunscreen, and, if possible, carpool or use rideshares due to limited parking space. For those arriving on two wheels, a free bike valet service will be available through Car-Free St. Pete.
Closing Celebrations
As the day comes to a close, festival-goers can look forward to a dazzling laser light show that will create a magical ending to this celebration of unity. Mayor Kenneth T. Welch will even deliver a special proclamation at 5:45 p.m., emphasizing the bond that holds the St. Pete community together.
