Hey there, St. Pete! If you’re looking to add a new four-legged friend to your family, you’re in luck! The wonderful animal shelters right here in our city, specifically Friends of Strays and Pet Pal Animal Shelter, are buzzing with excitement as they showcase some adorable and loving pets that are all ready for a new home. It’s all about giving these pets a second chance and, in return, they’ll fill your life with love and joy!
First up, let’s talk about Spike. This handsome guy is just 11 months old and weighs a snuggly 35 pounds. He’s a charming Pit Bull Terrier mix who loves to run and go for those delightful afternoon walks. Spike is not just a cute face; he’s a well-behaved companion and would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and love. One small detail to keep in mind: Spike needs his adopters to own their home. With an adoption fee of just $75, he could be your new best buddy!
Next up is Aurora, a lovely 2-year-old Labrador Pit Bull mix. Aurora has recently had puppies and is now ready to find her forever home. She’s sweet and deserves all the cuddles she can get! Similar to Spike, she needs her adopters to own their home. The adoption fee is also $75. This girl is ready to embark on a new chapter of her life, and you could be the one to give her that chance!
Now let’s meet Melody, an 8-year-old fluffy diva. If you’re looking for a cat who can carry a conversation, this chatty and cuddly companion is just what you need. Melody does require some special grooming for that beautiful mane of hers, but she’s well worth the effort! She’s the perfect addition for someone who appreciates a feline with a bit of personality!
And how about a wise and gentle soul? Claude is a 14-year-old cat who is described as a gentle gentleman. He loves to explore and has an affectionate side that will warm your heart. Claude is in search of a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by care and comfort. He’s ready to bring some tranquility and love into your life!
All pets at these shelters are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. So you can rest easy knowing that your new furry friend is healthy and ready for adventures. Just a quick note: for safety, cats must leave the shelter in a cat carrier, and dogs need to go home with a leash and an escape-proof collar. Safety first!
