Pinellas Park is set to welcome Park Junction, a vibrant mixed-use space featuring a brewery and food marketplace. Mastry’s Brewing Co. will unveil this 40,000-square-foot destination, which includes a 5,000-square-foot brewery and a 36,000-square-foot food hall showcasing local culinary delights. Designed by BDG Architects, this community-centric project also aims to create around 150 jobs and foster local economic growth. Groundbreaking is anticipated by the end of this year, with a projected opening in late 2024 or early 2025.
Pinellas Park residents, get ready for a brand-new destination that’s set to shake things up! Mastry’s Brewing Co. is gearing up to launch Park Junction, a vibrant mixed-use space that’s going to feature a bustling brewery and a delicious food marketplace. Spanning an impressive 40,000 square feet, this project is shaping up to be the next go-to spot in town.
So, what’s all the buzz about? Park Junction will house a 5,000-square-foot brewery that promises to produce the finest craft beers, which residents have come to love from Mastry’s Brewing. But that’s not all! The project also plans to include a sprawling 36,000-square-foot indoor food hall, where you can savor a variety of culinary delights all in one location. Imagine dining options from local favorites and food trucks—all under one roof!
Set to break ground by the end of this year, the ambitious project is being designed by BDG Architects to create a warm and welcoming environment for the community. Envision a charming courtyard complete with a children’s play area, an outdoor stage crafted from shipping containers for live performances, and green spaces to relax in. Fun events and moments shared by family and friends are right around the corner!
But it’s not just about the great eats and cold brews—this project is a significant boost for the local job market too! It is anticipated that approximately 150 jobs will be created once Park Junction officially opens its doors.
This development is part of Pinellas Park’s larger vision for the City Center, which aims to transform the area into a lively downtown spanning an impressive 15 city blocks. The comprehensive plan for this district includes a brand-new city hall, a public safety facility, and a mix of residential and commercial options. There’s a lot happening!
Mastry’s Brewing Co., founded by Matthew Dahm in 2014, first opened its doors in St. Pete Beach in 2016 and has been serving up fantastic craft brews ever since. The new facility is set to triple Mastry’s current manufacturing capabilities, which means even more regional distribution of local craft beer!
The property where Park Junction will flourish was purchased from the City of Pinellas Park for $100,000. Earlier this year, Pinellas County also approved support for construction costs amounting to $1.62 million, for a project that will reach nearly $10 million in total expenses. This much-needed funding is part of the Employment Sites Program, backed by the Penny for Pinellas initiative.
Once construction begins, the anticipated timeline for completion should be around 12 months. Residents can expect to see food vendors, live music events, and many community activities. The hope is for Park Junction to open its doors by late 2024 or early 2025.
And don’t worry—Mastry’s Brewing at St. Pete Beach isn’t going anywhere! The current location will continue to be a hub for live music and entertaining vendor events, ensuring that locals can still enjoy the warm community atmosphere they’ve come to love.
As Mastry’s Brewing Co. prepares to make its mark on Pinellas Park, residents can look forward to engaging in a lively hub that showcases local talents and promotes community bonding. With all these exciting plans on the horizon, it’s clear that Park Junction will be a wonderful addition to the city!
