The brain behind LEVEL99 is Matthew DuPlessie, recognized as the inventor of the modern escape room concept, having kicked off the first escape room style back in 2004. This new venture marks LEVEL99’s fifth location since it first opened its doors in Natick, Massachusetts in 2021, with expansions also underway in Providence, Rhode Island, and upcoming spots in Virginia and Connecticut in 2025.
