As the event kicks off, the weather forecast looks positively inviting. Expect a little early morning fog, giving way to a delightful sunny day with a high around 72°F. Just picture yourself enjoying the festivities with a gentle breeze (winds from the west at 5 to 10 mph) and clear skies as the evening rolls in, dropping the temperature to a cozy 55°F overnight.

Racing Action: The Heart of the Grand Prix

The main event, featuring the thrilling IndyCar racing, will transform downtown streets and the runway of Albert Whitted Airport into a spectacular 1.8-mile, 14-turn street racing circuit. It’s a perfect opportunity to witness high-speed action, with the Grand Prix finale set to take place at noon on Sunday, March 2. The excitement culminates after four days packed with fun activities!

Activities to Enjoy All Weekend Long

Mark your calendars, because there’s going to be a lot happening alongside the racing events. Kickoff the celebration with the Wellness Wonderland Health Fair and Seminar on February 27 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Magnolia Auditorium. With an expected 200,000 fans gearing up to attend, it’s important to plan ahead. Parking is available at Tropicana Field for $30 per day, along with a free shuttle service to the racecourse. City parking garages also offer spots at $30 per day. Tickets for the Grand Prix vary from $30 to $130 depending on the option you choose, so get yours early!

The excitement does not stop there; this is also a pivotal year in the IndyCar series, with all races airing live on the same network for the first time and new team line-ups promising thrilling competition. Qualifying sessions will be on FS1, leading up to the live race broadcast on FOX starting at 12 p.m. ET on March 2, 2025.
