St. Petersburg, Florida, is buzzing with excitement as it welcomes the latest addition to its vibrant nightlife scene. Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day festivities, Dublin Drop officially opened its doors on March 8, 2025. Nestled at 129 1st Ave. N, this new bar promises an exciting and energetic atmosphere, perfect for party-goers seeking a taste of Ireland—without the traditional Irish fare.
Dublin Drop occupies a generous 3,000-square-foot space, designed as a “party bar” that aims to recreate the lively experience found at Irish Kevin’s in Key West. On entering, patrons will be greeted by a lively setting featuring a substantial main bar that can seat 20 people. The bar is equipped with numerous televisions, so fans can catch all their favorite sporting events. Plus, with five Guinness stations pouring the beloved Irish stout, beer enthusiasts will be delighted!
This trendy establishment does not focus on traditional Irish food or music. Instead, it highlights a diverse range of entertainment. A small stage inside the bar will host DJs and live music weekly, showcasing various genres to keep the vibe upbeat and the dance floor moving.
Speaking of vibes, Dublin Drop’s drink menu is absolutely one-of-a-kind! The bar offers a playful twist on the classic Irish Car Bomb with 16 variations of a cocktail known as the Dublin Drop. Signature drinks include the Bailey Bomber, High King of Ireland, and the hilariously named Florida Man in Dublin. For those who prefer classic cocktails, the Tipples menu showcases delightful options like The Dubliner and Irish Buck.
When it comes to the beer offerings, expect a solid selection of Irish brews on tap. Beverages like Guinness, Harp, and Smithwick’s are available, along with popular brews such as Coors and Stella Artois. All drinks, including those outrageous “Drops,” will be priced around $10, ensuring affordability for all revelers.
Although Dublin Drop does not have a kitchen of its own, guests need not worry about food options. The bar has partnered with the neighboring sports bar, Who’s on First, also owned by the same group, allowing patrons to snack while they sip on their favorite beverages.
During its opening week, Dublin Drop operates from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. and will settle into regular hours starting the following week. From then on, the bar will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. on weekends, providing plenty of opportunities for patrons to enjoy the lively atmosphere.
For those eager to keep up with the bar’s drink specials, events, and entertainment updates, following Dublin Drop on social media is the way to go! With so much to offer, this new spot is sure to become a local favorite in downtown St. Petersburg.
As the countdown to St. Patrick’s Day begins, get ready to raise your glasses and celebrate this fresh addition to the St. Pete nightlife scene. Cheers to Dublin Drop!
