Get Ready, St. Pete! Do Good Day is Back for Round Two!
St. Petersburg is buzzing with excitement as Do Good Day returns for its second year! Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 29, 2025, because this is an event you won’t want to miss. From 11 AM to 2 PM, Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill, right in the heart of the EDGE District, will transform into a vibrant hub of community spirit and volunteer opportunities.
A Community Fair Like No Other!
What’s the scoop? Over 30 local nonprofit organizations will gather to showcase their missions, share their goals, and connect with potential volunteers. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for long-term commitments, there’s a place for everyone at Do Good Day. This fair is all about bridging the gap between passionate individuals and the amazing nonprofits that serve our community.
From Humble Beginnings
Let’s rewind a bit. The inaugural Do Good Day took place in 2024 at 3 Daughters Brewing and was a hit! The founder, Meredith Pericles, dreamed up this event during conversations about the myriad of nonprofits in St. Pete and how tough it can be for people to connect with them. Now, the fair is back and better than ever!
A Wealth of Opportunities
Expect to find booths where you can dive deep into the missions of various organizations, ask questions, donate, and even sign up for volunteer work on the spot. This year, there will be a diverse range of nonprofit categories, including those supporting seniors, children, veterans, animal rescues, environmental initiatives, and hunger relief. No matter your passion, there’s a chance to lend a helping hand.
The Fun Factor!
But wait, there’s more! Do Good Day brings fun to philanthropy. Attendees can enjoy activities like bingo and take a fun snapshot with friends in a vintage “photo bus”. Best of all, this event is free, family-friendly, and pet-friendly! Bring the whole gang—two-legged and four-legged alike—because community spirit knows no bounds!
Tie-In Events to Increase the Buzz
This year’s Do Good Day coincides with the EDGE District’s quarterly clean-up and the popular Mezzo Market. The market features over 100 vendors on Baum Avenue, ensuring a buzz of activity and foot traffic that will help amplify the fair’s attendance. It’s a prime opportunity for all to come out, have fun, and get involved!
Join the Movement!
If your organization is a nonprofit looking to join the fun, there are still vendor spots available. It’s a fantastic chance to connect with the community and showcase what you do. Interested parties can reach out via email at info@dogooddayfl.org or visit the event’s website at www.DoGoodDayFL.org.
Calling on Local Businesses!
Don’t forget, businesses can also play a key role! Sponsorship opportunities are open for those wanting to support this wonderful initiative. It’s a fantastic way to show your commitment to the community while promoting your brand.
Get Excited, St. Pete!
The countdown is on! Join in for a day filled with goodwill, laughter, and connection at Do Good Day on March 29. This isn’t just another fair; it’s a chance to make a difference while enjoying everything our amazing community has to offer. See you there!
